What do you need?
5 helpful answers
01Builders
How do I join or create a team?
Register for an open hackathon first, then open Teams in your build space. You can request to join an open team and explain the role you want to play, or create a new team for one of your registrations. Captains can review requests and create private invite links. If team controls are unavailable, refresh once and contact support before creating duplicate requests.
02Projects
What does a project need before submission?
A project needs a name, a clear one-line pitch, a project story, and at least one demo artifact. The demo can be a live or video URL, or a supported file stored privately for authorized reviewers. Team members can edit while the event is open; the captain submits the final snapshot. Submission locks the judged version, so review the story, links, and evidence first.
03Privacy
What becomes public on a builder portfolio?
Nothing is published by default. A builder must choose a public handle and make the builder profile public. Separately, a team captain must allow a submitted project to appear in portfolios. Both permissions must remain on. Sign-in email, weekly availability, private evidence, judge notes, and unpublished projects are never included on the public portfolio page.
04Organizers
How do organizer workspaces and billing work?
Builders can participate without purchasing an organizer plan. Organizer plans cover event creation, registration, team formation, submissions, judging, and operations. Purchases open in Stripe Checkout only when billing is enabled. Returning from checkout does not activate access by itself; Hackathon Network waits for Stripe’s signed payment confirmation. Contact support before paying if a plan or event limit is unclear.
05Support
How do I reach a person?
Open Support in the signed-in portal and choose Contact support. Add a short subject and enough detail to reproduce the problem. Once the Cozable connection is live, Hackathon Network sends your verified sign-in identity plus bounded page and support-journey context so you do not need to repeat basic account information. Email support is available during the connection window.
